Play a game of Bull-rush remember to make sure the players in the middle cant run in front of a team mate to tackle a player allowing players to believe there mate in the middle will tackle the on coming player on his side of the field also communicating who has the player advancing.
Hi, just a simple task as having the boys do their fitness drills in their position i find works well. Also you might try at training sessions to have drills that incorporate their position also ( like pick/rake /drop etc, i find that with limited resources (helpers , volunteers) this is sometimes hard. Try a game such as , getting the boys to line up at the base line and then call their numbers out at random and get the kids to run into either attack, defense or scrum positions , call out their position then once the whole team is in position have them run back and start over(this is also a good fitness drill)
hey hows you all doing,i coach U14 and we still have player getting sucked in,players boy's or girls playing rugby will alway's get it right at training yet on the day in game play, this is a problem that unfortunatley comes with knowlege of the game and positions they are playing who should be where some will develope more quickley than others so i can only suggest mental thinking games under preasure games that involve comunication and players knowing what all the positions involve and understand how the game works to many coaches make rugby more difficult than it is keep it simple forwards drills rucks and mauls backs setting the lines and enjoy watching then develope i have some players and for a couple of seasons they just wasnt getting it and now its like a switch has been turned on they are really good players and we have a good team, they have all caught up in the development of the game and matured its great to watch and see all that effort you put in really come together in the end
