what would you say to your players when it comes to half time ? (give detail if they were wining same as for losing games )
If the team was winning I would say something along the lines of the game is not over yet, they have been doing the basics (passing, tackling, running) so well and that is why they are winning and now is the time to try new things (if winning by large amount). But that they also have to remember the game is not over, so they need to keep communicating, intensity and work rate as well as motivate each other.
If they were loosing something along the lines of the game is not over yet, you still have another half to pull this back, they have been doing well and that the other team will tire so now is the time to work and show who is the more fitter and skillfull team. Also mention that the rotations (substitutes) will be made to give everyone a rest and time to recover as apposed to tactical. Keep the spirt up and motivation high, tell the players to work for each other and support one another as motions run high when players are loosing.
