im currently injured and have been for the past 10\11 months and I will be for the next 7 months would be great to get some drills working on my stepping for when I get back to playing
Hi Ben,
Sorry to hear about the injury. Here are some stepping drills that you can work on to improve your agility and footwork:
Ladder drills: Set up an agility ladder on the ground and practice different footwork patterns, such as high knees, side steps, and quick feet.
Cone drills: Set up a series of cones in a zigzag pattern and practice stepping around each cone as quickly as possible.
Mirror drills: Partner up with another player and stand facing each other. Take turns leading and following as you move around the field, trying to mirror each other's movements as closely as possible.
Box drills: Set up a small box with cones and practice stepping in and out of the box as quickly as possible.
Shuttle runs: Set up two cones a short distance apart and run back and forth between them, touching each cone with your hand as you go.
Remember to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity and complexity of the drills as you progress. Always listen to your body and avoid any movements that cause pain or discomfort. Good luck with your recovery and return to rugby!
