Batting - four player rotation...

One player is batter, one as back-stop, one as first base and other deep fielding. The bowler feeds the ball to the batter. The batter gets several balls feed them to practice hitting.

Ball machine or bowler injects ball to batter who stands in batting box with a cone. The cone is used to deflect the ball backwards or the ball is missed and goes directly backwards. The backstop throws the ball directly to first base. First base stumps post and throws ball to bowler.

Throwing Rounders Conditioned ...

Split your players into two teams. The fielding side will need a bowler, a back stop and a player on first base. The rest of the fielders can stand where they like.This game start with a bowl to the hands of the first <em>batting </em>player. The batting player should stand with open hands and catch the ball before throwing it into the fielding area.After throwing the ball out the batting player runs around as many bases as they can.Rules:Players score a point for their team for every complete run they make. Players can be caught or run out in the normal manner.Each player has two goes each before the teams swap around.

One player is fielding deep. The ball is fed to them to catch and then throw to post. They player who caught the ball follows the ball to the post and the player on the post runs the ball into the feeder. Players rotate.

Set Up: 4 players - bowler, batter, back stop, and 1st post. Rounders balls, post, cones. The Drill: Bowler bowls the ball to the batter (batting with a cone). They attemt to tip it through to the back stop to take. The backstop reacting to the tip off the cone sends the ball to 1st post. Bowler bowls 6 good balls then the players rotate.

This clip shows you the batter being run out at first post. The batter has struck at a good bowl but missed the ball and has to run to first post. The back stop having caught the ball throws the ball to the first post player who catches and touches the post with the ball before the batter reaches the same post.

If it goes left the left player gets it If it goes right the right player gets it. The player with the ball rolls it back to the feeder. After a set amount of repetitions players rotates. <ul type=&quot;circle&quot;>

5 v 5 Festival Conditioned gam...

Set Up: 2 teams of 5. The fielding team consists of: bowler, backstop, 2nd post, 3 fielders (1 on 2nd post). The batting box 6 metres away from the bowling box. Pitch set out with posts or cones, spaced out accordingly. The Game: Each innings lasts for 15 good balls. After 5 good balls the fielders rotate.

When the ball is hit behind the line the batter is allowed to run to the 1st post but is not allowed to continue to 2nd until the ball has crossed the line back into play. It is best that the backstop retrieves the ball and walks it back instead of throwing it back into play.

The fielder on the base, or any fielder, must attempt to get the batter 'out' by touching the base that the batter is running towards, before the batter reaches the base The fielder must have ball in control in their hand, and touch the base with the ball.

Players stand in teams behind their cone, with a ball each.When the coach says 'Go' each player rolls their ball out diagonally, through the cones nearest their starting position.After rolling out their own ball (along the ground) players must sprint out and collect the ball thrown by the other side.As soon as they have collected the ball they must sprint back with the ball in hand past the starting cone.The coach decides which player makes it back first and awards their team one point.

Divide players into two teams, one fielding and one batting. The fielding team bowls 4 consecutive balls to a better. Once the batter has hit all 4 balls into the field, all of the batters on the batting team must run around all the bases at the same time, as many times as they can before all of the balls have been returned by the fielding team. The next batter then does the same, and all of the batters run when all 4 balls have been hit. Do this for each batter on the batting team, before the fielding team goes in to bat. Winner is the team with the most rounders scored.

Circle Ball Conditioned games ...

1 catcher, 5 attackers, and 3 defenders. Cones, tennis ball or rounders ball.There are always more attackers than defenders.Catcher starts in the inner circle and is on the same team as the attackers. The 3 defenders are in the next ring, and the rest of the attackers are in the outer ring.The attackers aim to get the ball to the catcher, and for the defenders to try and intercept.Attackers may pass the ball around the outside of the circle to each other to create space.Teams can move but must stay in their own circle. They are not allowed in anyones else's.Underarm throwing only.Points System: Defenders 1 point for a touch, and 5 points for a catch. Attackers get 1 point every time the catcher receives the ball.

Beat the call Conditioned game...

Split your group into two teams: A throwing team and a fielding team. The fielders have to put one player by each post and the rest in the field. Players from the other team have 1 ball each. Each player from the throwing team has to come into the batting square and call out which base they are going to run to. Immediately after call out they must then throw the ball to one of the fielders after which they have to try and beat the ball to the post. The ball then gets thrown back to the square for the next player to call, throw and run.

Set up a pitch using cones that is roughly the same size as a netball court (30m x 15m) and divide your players into two equal teams.Players <span style=&quot;text-decoration: underline;&quot;>can run in all areas of the pitch but they are not allowed to run with the ball.Players must try to get the ball to a player in the shooting circle for them to score a point.

The batter is out if the fielder touches the post immediately ahead with the ball or the hand holding the ball while the batter is running to the post and before the batter has touched the post, except first post in case of a no-ball.

knocking over a base? - Sportp...

Is it okay as a batter, to sprint to first base and knock it over rather than slowing down to place your bat on the post gently? You would obviously pick it up and then remain in contact so long as you haven't turned the corner to make for second base. This would also help the umpire to see who got there first.
