Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
I have just started helping our head coach with under12's team. He wants to retire and has put me forward to be head coach next season. I am a little worried on how i should aproach training with the boys, going to a full 15 a side team on a full pitch. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking for the under 7 to under 13 primary school rugby rules. Ball size and everything that is involved. Where can I find it.
I have started an under 10s team up, and I would say about 8 from the 13 children I have , did not play rugby until about 6 months ago. Of these players, there seems to be a lot of potential, as we are scoring tries against teams, that very rarely concede tries.the problem I got with them, is that we are very poor at organising our selves in defense when the opposition has the ball, which does result in us conceding quite a few tries. We have some very good tacklers in the team. Can anyone offer some ideas on how I can get them to organise themselves? Thanks . Chris.
For school assignment, i am teaching 12-13 year old girls rugby and need tackling drills
Just started coaching u13, are the 2nd row allowed to bind through the props legs or do they have to bind onto the side? Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
are scrum halves allowed to kick from the scrum in U13s rugby, or do they have to pass/run?
Hi Iâm a proud dad who wants to help his 12 year old son develop as an aspiring number 12/13. No experience at all coaching but willing to give it a go. He already trains with his team of course but only once a week. Iâd like to supplement that with a plan that he and I can follow 2 to 3 times a week but limited realisticallly to he and I. Passing and tackling and speed and agility Iâm guessing are key? Anything on decision making would also be good. Any advice gratefully received!
My under 13 school rugby team played against a school team that were much bigger than my boys. This was their first experience playing against players that were much bigger than them. What do we do for future matches?
Good day all I would just like to get some advice or feedback. Our 0/13 team is playing very good rugby but when they enter an opponets 22 them seem to start rushing there play and make mistakes like knock-ons.How can whe get that out our game and to capatilize and score points and stay calm.
A MIX OF NEW AND EXPERIENCED PLAYERS. Hi there.I have a team of 11 to 13 year olds, some who are very new to the game, some who are experienced and have played to a high level for their age. What is the best way to set up a team to help the newer players along, and to play to the better players strengths? The players can be quite flexible as far as positions played goes.

I need to make my 10 ,12 and 13 aware of the tackle line and the gain line, this in itself is not too difficult but I want to have some form of games (possible 3 different ones) that will emphasise the differance for both attack and defense
I am coaching under 13 b side and i am trying to find some drills to pump the team up during training Any Suggestios
Any advice as to where rest of forwards should line up without getting in way of fly half and other backs for example in a 3 man lineout?
Looking at developing a session through to and including the 3rd phase. Objective is play from scrum, with the 13 coming short. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
We have two very fast wingers but we cannot get them the ball . Teams are coming up fast and we are lucky to get the ball to the O. C. We have tried setting up further back but too many times we are getting caught behind the gain lines when we do that. Any ideas?
Any "simple" attacking moves from a scrum that you can recommend for a U15s XV side. Looking to get them to think about how the back line would would set up and have different options from a) center field and b) tight left or right all at the half way mark.
My sons plays for the U9 team, his position is number ten, he was put there due to his kicking power, drop kicking accuracy, etc - I have been teaching him over time to tackle this has helped him build his confidence - what I have been noticing is the fact that when he gets the ball, he wont run - he just refuses to do anything with it...I need to find a way to encourage him the move forward with it, but nothing ever happens, now his own team mates are starting to look down at him, since he has giving the game away far to many time. Help!
Any help for Play from scrum with 13 coming short drills?
