Following on from Question about U10 Lineouts - Is it allowable for players at this age to practice the lift in training? I dont think its advisable for a match situation at this age but would like to start coaching it now so as to give development time.

Hi, Iâm coaching under 9s next year which involves tackling, mauls, rucks etc. Iâm after advise on what to coach first and the amount of time spent on each area. Added to this Iâve somehow become the lead coach after a couple of coaches stepped down (feeling a little under pressure!) Hi everyone, coaching under 9s this year and I am trying to clarify if the rules have changed for the coming season i.e no ruck, mauls, scrums or lineouts basically a bit more like Rugby League? Hi, I'm coaching my second team union (as i have injured my knee and cant play for the next few months) and the team consists of mainly league players, so they are rugby minded but will need help getting to grips with union - lineouts scrums when to and not to kick where to kick to etc. Any tips / ideas would be great.

Line-outs - scenario is that in a line out, the lifters hold the jumper up for a lengthy time - is there a law or regulation covers this? Should the lifters/jumper be allowed to do this or should he be lifted and lowered immediately upon receipt of the ball? Thanks
Can anyone explain what a quick throw-in is and how it works?
My under 18 team tried to take a quick lineout with one attacker in the lineout and 2 defenders in the lineout. When he threw the ball to another attacker who was about 10metres behind the lineout he was told by the referee that the lineout had formed and could not take a quick penalty. What is the clarification of this as I always thought you had to have at least 2 players from each team in the lineout to say that the lineout had formed?

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
