I am currently coaching under8's rugby in England which is 7 a side tag. Next year we are going into 9 a side contact and we wanted to start coaching our players the techniques of tackling and carrying the ball into contact towards the end of this season to prepare them for next season. We didnt carry this out as we were unsure what the RFU directive was regarding preparing for the step up. Some people say they were training their players and some people were not. Does anyone know the official line from the RFU whether or not you can train in contact or not

Hi there, just advice, I currently play for a local team, only social rugby, I love the sport, but so does my little boy who's 4... I was interested in finding out what qualifications processes you would need to go through to setup a little rugby class in my local area. Im not looking to teach the Kids the Rules of Rugby or have games, but more touch and chase the tag, fitness, co-ordinations skills etc... but how qualified do I need to be, and where would be a good start to getting a programme together... Making the full-back position an attractive proposition. Often over-looked, the full-back position is a vital player in anyones team if he is used and brought into the game. Does anyone have any technical/positional material to coach prospective players in this position?

Getting quite frustrated that my u10's are not using the space on the pitch and tend to bunch up. Despite various drills and game scenarios to force them to spread out and pass to someone in space they revert in any game to bunching up around the ball and taking it back into the thick of the opposition rather than looking left or right! Any ideas how to change their ways?
Hi Iâm a proud dad who wants to help his 12 year old son develop as an aspiring number 12/13. No experience at all coaching but willing to give it a go. He already trains with his team of course but only once a week. Iâd like to supplement that with a plan that he and I can follow 2 to 3 times a week but limited realisticallly to he and I. Passing and tackling and speed and agility Iâm guessing are key? Anything on decision making would also be good. Any advice gratefully received!

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
I can't get enough of the Sportplan, It has given me back the enthusiasm i was starting to lose. My girls are so keen and are ready at 14 to take the next up in their game. Sportplan will help no end.
