Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
Anyone have a for they use to keep track of match data like lineouts/scrum won/lost? We have our first match and I want to be able to keep some statistical data to use for post gae analysis.
hi i am coaching younger players and they don't have much experience playing rugby, the ages are from 10 to 14 years old they don't have a lot of skill but thats ok , but the problem i have is how to get them not to all go for the ball and full into one big heap. is there drills to manage them to more toward a rugby shape and to get them to hold thier width. thank you
I am looking for a Day 0 type of session for American children who may have never held a rugby ball. If I move forward with a rugby exhibition/team creation in the neighborhood, I want to make sure I know how/what to teach Day 0. I'm hoping that interest is growing for touch and flag rugby due to the recent in Philadelphia between the USA Eagles and the Maori All Blacks. I was there. It was fantastic. Tickets sold out so fast, I think there will be more of these in the area. Thanks.
I want to run a play that catches opposing players off guard when my team has been given a penalty. Is it legal to call for a shot at the posts, place the ball on the tee, and go through the motions of a penalty kick. However, I keep four or so guys ready behind my kicker, who only kicks the ball off the tee 10m in front. Both the kicker and 4 team mates then run onto the ball, scoop it up and put it through the hands if required to score. I notice a lot of our opposition huddle under the posts, or leave massive areas open, when we call for a shot. Can you call for a shot, but not actually take a shot?
Are you going to add flag football drills? It is really big in the U.S. and even growing around the world. I'm fact, if you haven't heard, it is being added to the 2028 Olympics. Please add it to the options. Thank you

Hi folks, I have been coaching children from 7 to 16 years for along time. I now have a new challenge. We are opening rugby up for children from 2 years to 7 years. We will also be holding classes for children with special needs and would appreciate any tips or dialogue with coaches who have any experience. I look forward to exchanging views and results with any coaches willing to share. We will hold a few test sessions in the near future and will stay in touch. Many thanks. Kieron .Hong Kong.
