I am familiar with field positioning, play, and stategies?

I am familiar with field positioning, play, and stategies for the fowards but can anyone give me advice on how to pick a good flyhalf and scrum half. Also how to train them on making the best decisions on the pitch, for example when to pass out wide, how to relieve defensive pressure, when to kick, etc...? My backs are still new to rugby. Some have less than a year's experience and others are brand new to the sport.

Getting the team ready / fired up before kick off.

Does anyone have any good hints / tips / suggestions for getting a team (Under 18's Male Rugby team) fired up before the game? The problem we are having is the boys don't switch on to the game 10 / 15 / 20minutes into it. We start 1 hour before kick off with a dynamic warm up, drills, moves for the day then back in 10mins before kick off to put shirts on and captains words, then out for kick off.

Our under tens when they go into a ruck situation often go straight over the ball leaving it in the open. A is this ball then available to be played by any player from both teams and B if this ball is out how can we teach them to secure the ball.

Catching a high ball. Any ideas for games/drills?

I assume the key factors to be looking at the ball, get in line with the trajectory, reach for the ball and cradle, sideways stance. Is that right?

Does anyone have a good set of graphics which shows?

Does anyone have a good set of graphics which shows contact points for the various types of kicks in rugby i.e sweet spot of ball for place kick with top of foot. I am trying to draw them but I'm no artist. It seems in grade rugby everyone use the same kick all the time. They get comfortable with the spiral so they use it as a up and under, penalty, and ground game kick. As I am a forward I am not skilled kicking enough to demonstrate kicks.

Inclusive rugby - Any tips and advice from coaches who have experience coaching kids between 2-7 years and children with special needs

Hi folks, I have been coaching children from 7 to 16 years for along time. I now have a new challenge. We are opening rugby up for children from 2 years to 7 years. We will also be holding classes for children with special needs and would appreciate any tips or dialogue with coaches who have any experience. I look forward to exchanging views and results with any coaches willing to share. We will hold a few test sessions in the near future and will stay in touch. Many thanks. Kieron .Hong Kong. I am so pleased with all of the drills and advice on rugby. I am a player for my local club and we don't have a coach at the moment so I, as a senior player, am filling that gap. With your help, the team has been able to improve our skills.

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
