
Defenders are loned out between 3 sets of cones depending on where the ball is on the filed. If the ball is with attacking 7 then defenders should be between blue cone and red cone. If the ball is with the 10 or 8 then defenders should be spaced between blue and blue, ie between 18 yard marks.
The progression for this is to add 1-2 defenders to press the attackers to force them to keep the ball. If defenders win the ball they are to pass it back to the keeper to practice playing out.
