
SETUP: - 35-30 area, mini goals, pinnies, cones - Area marked for 35x10yd box and 35x20yd box - Mini goals at far end of 20yd box, line marked halfway in 20yd box - 2 Target players (red) start with ball - Attacking team (green) plays 4v2 against defenders (blue) in 10yd box looking to break out after combingin for 3 passes - Defending team looking to protect the goals behind them and the line in the 20yd box - Attackers can shoot from anywhere. Defenders must remain in the box they started (10yd or 20yd) - Attackers; 3pts for goal, 2pts for crossing line. Defenders; 1pt for winning ball and connecting to a target player
COACHING POINTS: - Triggers; if there is pressure on the ball then team can begin to get tight. No pressure on the the ball then team must drop to protect the forward pass (i.e goals) - Good Possession; Drop & protect against the forward pass - Mistake by Attackers, backwards pass, bad touch...then team squeezes as pressure applied to the ball
