In this drill it will be 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 situations. There will be two rows of three players at two different sides of the area and then two defenders with a ball each behind each post of the goal and then the goal keeper in goal. The defenders pass the ball to the attackers and then have to get to the attacker as quickly as possible. The attacker has to get past the defender even by half a yard to be able to shoot. The coaches will then progress the drill after every player has been both a defender and an attacker. One of the defenders will then pass the ball to the attacker opposite him and then the other attacker and other defender also become active.
