set up 16 cones 8 x 8 spread out 3 feet apart. Line up players along the outside of the cones and at the whistle start a light jog. Have them count to 10, and yell stop. Then say go! Count 10 seconds again and yell stop feel free to use the whistle. Warm up â 10 laps.
Make it fun. Instead of saying, stop, say freeze. Counting helps them learn how to count and stay engaged.
