If they succeed in losing their man then the attacker should have a shot on goal.
The defender should try and shepherd the attacker down the touchline and away from the danger area (the goal).
Defender should be ready for the attacker's attempts to lose them (with quick change of pace and direction) and should keep a low center of gravity and bent knees in order to be able to respond quickly to the attacker's movement.
