Handball: No pass to Green

The two blue players stood on the wings of the court both have several balls at their feet and take it in turns to throw the ball into the central player. Once they have past the ball into the middle-man they should drive forwards, ready to receive the return pass, pivot and try to feed the ball into the red player on their side.

Defenders must communicate amongst themselves to decide on which of them goes forwards to close down the oncoming player and which is remaining to cover the man on the edge of the D.

Blue players are passing the ball around the area in a clockwise direction with the aim of trying to pass to the green player in the centre.

The two red defenders must work as a team to share the defending responsibilities to successfully close down the blue players every time they receive a pass.

The blue team (back court players) are attacking and are passing the ball along the line, looking to find a chink in the defence so that they can pass the ball to either of the two forward green players (pivots).

Meanwhile the blue defending players must work together and make good defending decisions. When an attacker comes forward a defender must step forward to mark the back court players while another defender moves across the cover the pivot.

Blue 1, 2 and 3 are the attackers and are trying to get into a gap between the attackers to release a shot on goal.

The defenders must move laterally and communicate with one another to block off the attack.
