Hi Jonathan, you can certainly start the diving technique drill with young goalies. The "Diving Technique" drill is suitable for goalkeepers as it focuses on ensuring proper technique. The drill involves the goalkeeper starting 2-3 meters off their line on their knees, and the coach throws the ball underarm for the goalkeeper to dive across and make a save with their hand/stick. Key coaching points include making sure the goalkeeper's hips are the first part of the body to touch the pitch, and ensuring that the hand/stick are close together.
