I find it impossible to find recent full match videos to show to my youngsters especially on those frosty mornings when training is cancelled. I have tried FIH and England Hockey who frankly are woeful at providing coaching support. Can anybody help me source recent full matches. Thanks Mark
Hi Mark,
Although its a great idea for when you are unable to train, I would suggest playing videos that demonstrate specific skills and formations of play rather than entire 60 minute video of a match. This way you can discuss the important aspects such as positioning on the field, set pieces and movement off the ball. Often FIH and England Hockey upload highlights of matches which are great discussing points as a coach.
Showing a full match might lose the interest of your younger players and keeping them engaged could become quite tough.
Hope this helps!
