Where can I find the French rules for U11's ?
William
I suggest you have a look at the French Rugby Union website and then copy and paste the relevant section and translate though Google.
Simon
Please can you direct me to the relevant section.
I coach youth Rugby in France, what specifically do you need to know ?
Darragh
Are you allowed to kick the ball on the ground (fly hack), take quick tap penalties, 5 man or 3 man scrums, contested scrums ?, play the advantage rule
William,
Can you wait until Sunday or Monday for definitive answers? I coach U7s, and I'm pretty new to that, so I will need to check with my teammate this weekend to be sure.
My first reaction would be
Yes to kicks on the ground
No to quick tap penalties
5 man scrums non-contested and yes to the advantage rule. But I wouldn't bet my life on any of that.
Do you know what towns you'll be visiting on your tour?
Darragh
Bayonne
for under eleven, you can kick the ball, play as quick as you want penality
but scrum are not contested and just 3 players, (we don't specialized our players and so the referee (a coach) take the first three players near the ball to do the scrum)
line out are contested two player and one to throw the ball
excuse my english,hope helping you!
laurent

I have heard the ref's have a relaxed attitude to offside / forward passes. It is more important to keep the game moving. Is this correct?
Yes, it's very pronounced with the -7 and -9, but it still exists with the -11 too
in more ways than one
