I coach under 9, first season full contact. The boys are tackling & rucking well but do not in open play pass to each other or support the player with the ball, therefore we have no continuity. What games can I introduce which will address my problem ?
A couple of weeks ago we introduced a two coned off "holy" channels (they appear on Sunday mornings). They are situated on each wing of the pitch and can only be used by one attacker with no defenders allowed in. They were quickly identified as an easy way to score tries but still did not encourage any forward movement by players in possession. Maybe next week!
