I'm looking for suggestions on set plays for free hits going into the circle. High school rules in the US now state that all players (attack/defense) must be 7 yards from the ball. What plans will work for drawing corners and goal scoring opportunities?

What is a dangerous hit called? Is it when the stick swings higher than the shoulder? On the follow through after the hit? Or is it only when a defender is in proximity? Is it only when not having a shot at goal? Or is it when the ball is in the air close to a defender? Does it depend on age? I am coaching young girls. Is there a handy reference to these rules, or is it a players learning resource that a new coach can procure?
I really struggle to make practice fun and useful for the GKs. My attention is naturally focussed on the outfield players, meaning most of the time I simply have drills finishing with a shot on goal to keep the GK involved. Pretty boring for them. Any ideas how I can involve them more? Thanks, Charlie
G'day guys. I just read the new rules for indoor hockey and I am wondering what peoples thoughts are on the reduction to 5 players. Will the norm become playing with only one forward, or no center, or only one back? It seems this will now make the game more dynamic, teams will have to adapt on the run and change their strategies for pressing and for beating the press. A great center (or three) will become like gold. Cheers
As of 1 September, major FIH events such as the Champions Trophy, Hockey World League Final and Rio 2016 Olympic Games will assume a new format that includes moving to four 15-minute quarters and having 40-second time-outs when a penalty corner is awarded and after a goal is scored. Given the lovely new rules... Can you suggest how to coach a team taking long corners. No player can be 5 yards from player taking the long corner - So creating a 2v1 now is impossible. How do you coach this ? Thanks

What a fantastic tool. The Chalkboard and session tools make an unbelievable difference in making training plans in both time and organization. I will be instructing all of my assistant coaches that this tool must be used for all sessions during the season, so that we may build a club coaching resource library.
