Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
I notice that the majority of Drills have a leaning towards Rugby Union, Yes they can be adapted but will there be any thing added for the Rugby League coach
Describe a 'step-up' or 'big hit' tackle. How would you coach it, what is the technique and what are the key factors technically?
I would like to have a GOAL planning session and not sure what type of goals should be set for players over the season. We have a long term goal to be promoted but not sure how to set up shorter goals and what to advise people if they can think of any!!!
Does anyone have any Rugby League positional specific skills games / drills i could use with my Under 10s, they are just learning positions so as simple as poss please.
The law says that a forward pass is one "thrown forward" "in the direction of the opponents' goal line" Does that mean that, if the ball is passed and the receiver catches it NEARER to the opponents goal line than from where the ball was passed that the pass was forward? (Leaving to one side any other touches of the ball that might have taken place.) Maybe an example is better. Player 1 passes the ball sideways - releasing it on the 22 metre line. Player 2 (with no other player having touched the ball), running from well behind the 22 metre line, catches the ball when it has travelled sideways but the ball is now 20 metres from the opponents goal line (2 metres further forward from the place that the ball was passed). Is that a forward pass or throw forward? And if not, why not?
Does anyone have a diagram of where the players will stand on the field when they are receiving the kick off in rugby league?
I coach an under16s Rugby League squad who are at premier division level, some of whom are lets say not very fit. Does anyone have a good pre-season conditioning plan/session we could slot in once or twice a week to get the lads fitter ?
Do you have anu rugby league drills?
Hi, I'm coaching my second team union (as i have injured my knee and cant play for the next few months) and the team consists of mainly league players, so they are rugby minded but will need help getting to grips with union - lineouts scrums when to and not to kick where to kick to etc. Any tips / ideas would be great.
Hi there, I recently purchased a monthly subscription to enhance my knowledge of coaching skills. Yet after payment, I am still unable to view most drills! why is this?
Upgraded to PRO but still can't see any drills.
Hi, I wondered if I could add Rugby League as my prefered sport. My subscription has Rugby Union as the dedicated sport. I appreciate the drills, and there are some similarities, but I would like to unlock some of the Rugby League drills. If this can be achived ASAP, that would be appreciated.Thank you for your assistance.

I previously subscribed to Sportplan after receiving an email with an offer for six months. I wanted Rugby League but made an error and selected Rugby which is Rugby Union so ended up cancelling my subscription. I would like to re join but all the offers I get now via email are for me to join back for Rugby and can't seem to be able to change it to Rugby League when I click on the offers. Could you please send me an offer for Rugby League so I can subscribe again. Thanks
