The idea of this game is for players to recognise when the ball is pitching in line with the stumps and to play a defensive shot. Set up play for a mini game. Place two lines in front of the batsman and in line with the wickets. Any ball bouncing inside the lines should result in a block shot. Players are encouraged to use more attacking shots for balls bouncing outside the lines.
Defensive shot could be a front or back foot block shot. Bat to be in vertical position. Player to be balanced and play the shot with bat, hands and head in line.
