Coaches or players at either end of the stumps bowl or feed the ball to the batsman at either end of the wicket. The batsman must hit the ball onto their offside. The fielders are in two teams as shown by the yellow fielders and the grey fielders in the diagram. As the batman hit it onto the offside, both balls are in play. Fielders must retrieve the ball from the field and throw it back to the the coach who fed or bowled the ball to their batsman before the batsman has ran to the other wickets and back.
After a short time, the batman can be told they only have to cross over to the other stumps for 1 run as opposed to running there and back. This would make both fielding sides have to pay attention and work as a whole team to attempt to get the batsman out.
