
In pairs player roll the ball out infront of them, chase and use a one handed pick up to retrieve the ball before, practising their fluency and throwing the ball underarm to their partner who then repeats the drill while the first player returns to their position.
This drill can be used to practise the fluency required to increase the speed of a fielder. Connecting the onehanded pickup with the underarm throw can save time and fumbling the ball. Increase the excitment value bu getting the player to pickup the ball on the twist, returning the ball to the next player and following through to become the second player creating a race. First team to get everyone to complete the drill wins.
