DESCRIPTION

Drill ideal for a school playground, not even need to have stumps but can be drawn in on chalk. Start off by bowling at the stumps. 2nd time get players to look at where ball pitches to get it to hit the stumps. Then add the issue of batter or height on the wall and get them to get the ball up as high as the arrow on description. Get them to watch each bowler on their team and then drawn a circle in chalk where it pitches. Then get them to call for themselves what they are going to aim for use maximum energy to get it that high. Create cones and targets on wall competition between teams to win game out of it.

COACHING POINTS

Increase speed energy to release point continue through delivery. Release point Maximum energy to increase pace, bounce. Not worried about length. Players can analyse them selves by seeing the wall and the ball height and by creating circles. Safety not a race but every tema bowl at the same time and then collect the ball. return to the back of the queue.
