
Split into 2 teams. Defence V Attack Coach Feeds the ball into one of the attacking team to start build up play towards goal and forcing the defenders to drop towards their own goal. 10 passes to score a point or attack on goal. If the attacking team can score within zone 1 they get an extra point If the defending team can prevent more than 3 passes being made and a pass back to a previous zone then they score a point. If they can win the ball in zone 3 then they also score a point.
Defenders need to communicate with each other to maintain a line Full Backs need to sweep behind when ball is on the opposite side. Attackers need to time their runs and stay onside To enable defending against pace and balls over the top the defenders need to drop a few yards deeper on the approach run up by the opposition player To play against posession the defenders need to work on maintaining a high line and applying pressure to the ball Get body positioning right to force player pass Attacking team try to penetrate gaps in behind defence and also in wide areas for crosssing
