Split into 2 teams. Coach starts with the ball and decides where the ball is distributed. e.g. Over the top (into the Blue coned area) for an attack in the goal OR to the attacking team (in the yellow coned area) to start build up play and 10 passes to score a point or attack on goal. If the defending team can win the ball back in the Red coned area then they win a point.
Defenders need to communicate with each oither to maintain a line Attackers need to time their runs and stay onside To enable defending against pace and balls over the top the defenders need to drop a few yards deeper on the approach run up by the opposition player the midfield need to drop in to help cover and mark players to allow a sweeper the freedom to cover the ball and runs of attackers To play against posession the defenders need to work on maintaining a high line and applying pressure
