Defensive line movement teaching spacing and forward moving defence.
1. Players stand at yellow cones then on whistle move up to blue cones in a perfect line. Looking to have players taking short steps with hands up and elbows in at all times. 2. As players get to the blue cones coach calls left or right and players then go to corrosponding red cone remaining in the perfect line. Important for players to get outside foot to cone and dip with thier knees when they get there to simulate the tackling position. 3. Players then go back to yellow cone to the side that was called. ( If called left players to go back to yellow cone on their left side) This will show them field position for the next play and develope their space awareness.
