Handball: Passing Square - get to green!

Encourage your players to drop their shoulder and throw a fake shot with this dodge-master session to give your players more confidence when dribbling in a 1v1!

Blue players pass the ball around the triangle.

Players should run forward (to the cone) to meet the pass and before passing the ball again should try and use a change of direction/feint to beat the defender in the middle who is trying to intercept the next pass.

Tell your players to be creative.

Players pass the ball in an anti-clockwise direction around the grid.

Players should aim their passes at the cone and the receiving players should step forward to meet the pass and then in turn continue the drill by passing to the next player.

Attackers pass the ball along the line and defenders must run forward to defend.

Attacking players are trying to move the ball quickly in order to create an opening for a shot.

They can do this through use of fast passes, feints and dummies.

Run forward at full speed to receive the pass.

As you approach the defender drop the shoulder in the direction which you are pretending to pass (drop left shoulder if faking to the left).

Hold the ball there for a short second to 'sell' the fake.

Once the defender is committed to stopping the pass push off your outside foot and drive in the opposite direction.
