Dominant defending body positioning to deny space
Develop your player's ability to have a strong, dominant and decisive body position to deny and close down space for their opponent up and down the court.

Player 4 marks player 3 while aiming to intercept the pass between the two blue players (feeders).
If Player 4 makes their move too soon the feeders should try to play the ball over the defender's head to player 3.
This drill is all about timing your move - go too early or too late and you're going to make it easy for the attackers to pass the ball over your head!
To make the drill easier players make the feeder player stand further apart (longer pass) and the defender stand closer to the ball.
To make the drill harder position the defender further away from the two feeders.
