Player 4 marks player 3 while aiming to intercept the pass between the two blue players (feeders).
If Player 4 makes their move too soon the feeders should try to play the ball over the defender's head to player 3.
This drill is all about timing your move - go too early or too late and you're going to make it easy for the attackers to pass the ball over your head!
To make the drill easier players make the feeder player stand further apart (longer pass) and the defender stand closer to the ball.
To make the drill harder position the defender further away from the two feeders.

No more 50/50 toss-ups. When simultaneous infringements occur, possession now goes to the team that last had the ball. Here's what it means for your coaching.
Train your defenders to win clean turnovers, not just disrupt. The difference between good defenders and great ones is taking the ball, not just touching it.
