This simple to set up session is ideal for all players and can be easily adapted to make it a tag only or a full contact session.
When the opportunity presents itself your players should be ready to take it with both hands, running into the space with a good support line. To help them do this we've designed the perfect training session which works on moving quickly into attack and practising the fast decision making which is required to weigh up your options and make the best pass when under pressure.
To create match-like situations this session allows you to call the shots - deciding how many defenders should run out to face the oncoming attackers. If you only shout one number out your attackers will have an easy 5 versus 1, however if you want to make it tricky why not call out four defenders to give you attackers only the slightest of advantages in a 5 versus 4 drill.
Although the crux of this session is focussed on decision making from your attackers it will also allow you to look at how your defenders cope in overload situations - will they communicate and break down the attack or will they just break down?
