Excellent drills, very detailed videos. Useful site for my U15 boys team.
I'm looking for suggestions on set plays for free hits going into the circle. High school rules in the US now state that all players (attack/defense) must be 7 yards from the ball. What plans will work for drawing corners and goal scoring opportunities?
What I need to do to make a very flexible goalkeeper and how to learn GK to have very fast and flexible legs? Im asking this because I have one goalkeeper who is good with hands but he is not using a legs on the game.
I really struggle to make practice fun and useful for the GKs. My attention is naturally focussed on the outfield players, meaning most of the time I simply have drills finishing with a shot on goal to keep the GK involved. Pretty boring for them. Any ideas how I can involve them more? Thanks, Charlie
Does any one have any ideas on structure for the new 5 v 5 indoor format?
I've always coached keepers to save with two hands were possible, because of the greater surface area. One of my keepers in a rep squad has been told off for doing so. Question is: Shouldn't it be personal preference? Which is faster? I would have thought both were equally quick if done properly. That's certainly been my experience, and I've played international level.
Hi, in this week's session "My players lack the ability to pass accurately", there's a progressive exercise called "shoot and recover". Sorry if this is a dumb question but when a player is 'shooting' at their target goal, is the other player allowed to defend the goal?I ask because the diagram makes it look like you're pushing over around 12m and I'd have thought that unless you make the goals huge, with a player defending the goal, people just aren't going to score. Also, if you make the goals really big, it kinda defeats the person of the accuracy element to the exercise.Hope you can assist. Regards,Gary
how can I help my goalkeeper to stop a direct shot froma corner hit
I'm looking for drills to give junior goalkeepers confidence to step off the goalline and close down play. ideally fun and ideally helping them become more confident and vocal
