what is the best way for a half to get fit?

HELP! When i have the ball, am moving quicly and a defender comes, i cant' get past them, and i can't recover fast enough

Whenever i have the ball, and i'm moving up the field, everytime a defender comes and tries to take the ball, they always succed. This is a big problem of mine, i almost always lose the ball to a defender when i'm moving, and i usually can't recover (not that i literallyy CAN'T, the defender is just to far past me to be able for me to get the ball back)and get back the ball, and i feel really dumb because i'm a very talented player, but i'm alwayse afraid to take the ball mainly just because when i move fast and a defender comes, i try to lift the ball and it just doesn't work, and i normally can't pull the ball far enough either cause the grass is thik. PLEASSEEE help me adn give me some advice on recovering and better techniques on how to get by a defender while moving very quickly.

I train a school team in India, it is under-16 team.?

I train a school team in India, it is under-16 team. My forwards are good in skills and defenders are good at tackling. But at the last 15 mins of match(35-5-35 mins.), my whole team gets tired and starts making unforced errors. Even skills are as good as other Indian players but when it comes to strength and stamina they lack. Please suggest something that my players are capable fast matches? We play hockey on grass only.

How can I get my midfielders' mentality right so they defend and attack in a game?

So I'm having trouble getting my young and inexperienced group of midfielders to flip the switch from defense to offense, and back, as we move up and down the field. They will often hang back and leave my forwards stranded rather than rush in to attack. Naturally, we are not scoring. Advice and drill ideas would be most welcome! J.G. Coach, Maryland USA

Question about a drill in the Sportplan session

Hi, in this week's session "My players lack the ability to pass accurately", there's a progressive exercise called "shoot and recover". Sorry if this is a dumb question but when a player is 'shooting' at their target goal, is the other player allowed to defend the goal?I ask because the diagram makes it look like you're pushing over around 12m and I'd have thought that unless you make the goals huge, with a player defending the goal, people just aren't going to score.Also, if you make the goals really big, it kinda defeats the person of the accuracy element to the exercise.Hope you can assist. throwing games away in last quarter

we are often the better team,for three quarters we push the opposition but in the last quarter we concede 2 or more goals.We have a massive national tournament coming up with the best teams in the country,and I am afraid that this might cost us dearly.Does anyone have a drill or structure plan I could use?
