Stew Bamrah Coach, Singapore

DESCRIPTION

A progression from the dribbling version of this drill, with a few cones moved. A simple yet effective exercise for pushing, two touch passing, and verbal communication. Players pass and follow as shown, finishing with a shot at goal. The next player in line can go as soon as the player in front is ready and calls for the ball. Have spare balls on the cones. Progression: Have the balls starting on the red cone so the first touch gets the ball from left to right.

COACHING POINTS

Communicate when you want the ball. Calling names can encourage more precise communication. Use the first touch to make the ball go around the cone in a 'V', ready to pass.
