Netball: Sprinting with defenders

Players run in pairs along the length of the court.

The defender runs alongside the attacker, trying to keep the attacker on the outside edges of the channel by turning their body as the attacker jogs/ changes direction.

Do this four times and then swap roles.

2 Players facing each other.

The idea is that each player has to try and touch the calves of their partners and at the same time ensure that they do not get caught.

Players take it in turns to run through the defender's areas as pairs. The player without the ball leads into the space. Working together they should try to pass and move, maintaining possession of the ball, from one side to the other.

If players successfully pass and support each other to the other side without losing the ball they pass the ball to the next pair and then join the back of the queue.

If the ball is intercepted though the pair who lost the ball become the defenders and the original defenders take the runner's place at the back of the queue.

In a designated area, using lines or cones, the white team must attempt to dodge past each defending player.

Defending players can only use sideways movements in order to prevent this.
