Netball: Dodge/Shoot/Rebound

Develop your team's rebounding ability in order to secure possession and allow your team the opportunity to take the ball through court to a shot.

1. White player 1 throws to Blue player 1, then runs quickly into circle and receives ball back.
   
   
2. White player 1 then shoots, collects the ball, and passes to Red player 1, before joining the back of the Red player's line.
   
   
3. Red player 1 does the same from the other side and the drill continues.

One player, the feeder, starts on the edge of the circle. The other player, the worker (number 1 in the diagram) runs around one of the cones set out on the edge of the shooting circle, then drives back into the circle to receive the ball before making the shot.

Shooter collects the successful shot or rebound, passes back out to the feeder and repeats with an alternative cone.

Player 2 moves into the circle to receive a ball from blue player 1.

Blue 1 immediately moves in to take up the rebound position with the defender (green player 1) and battle for the rebound.

• If the shot is put up from A, the rebound position is the area marked by the semi circle.
• The player must guard this area from her opponent.

One shooter from each side runs out and into the circle. X passes the ball to the free shooter who balances then shoots.

Defender should defend the shot and also work to receive rebound and then return the ball to X.
