I have a mixed team of 9 yr olds. Some who have never?
I have a mixed team of 9 yr olds. Some who have never played and others who have played 3 terms and are good at anticipating, finding space etc etc. As we need to rotate positions each quarter, some quarters with combinations do really well with free flowing passes. Other quarters with different combinations, the midcourt movement is like bees to a honey pot. Any suggestions re how to encourage the whole team to find space, anticipate moves, work as a team and not run after the ball (small ask!) Thnx
I am, in exactly the same circumstance and all I can do is try and spread my strong players so I have at least one in each third and am trying to get other girls to move. At least you can still have some movement this way and hopefully the new ones will start to follow the play shown by the others.

I agree spreading th stronger or more experience players so you have one in each third is helpfull. I also think that teaching the basis give and go system helps where the player passes the ball and then runs to the position that the person who recieves the ball has left. This also involves the need for teaching a simple system of movement and poosibly allocating lanes or areas of the court for each postion to play. Good luck
