Hi Amelia, it depends on the experience of the children you are coaching. However, some suggestions for teaching Netball to different year groups in the same week would be:
- An introduction to the sport: Explain the rules, core fundamentals and run a warm-up game that develops the core skills required in netball.
- Develop their skills: Run drills that develop throwing & catching skills, movement and shooting.
- Introduce positions: Explain the purpose and the specific rules for each position.
- Work on defensive skills and fundamentals
- Once the class gets more confident, start setting more competitive drills or playing mini tournaments.
