Coach will set up a number of different lanes and split the class into groups. Each lane will require a different movement whilst dribbling the ball. Blue lane: Players will have to dibble the ball in a zig-zag transfereing the ball from one hand to another to keep it away from the defender (Cones). Red lane: Players will dribble the ball in and out of the line of cones using quick feet. White lane: Players will dribble the ball to the first cone in a straight line. When they reach the first cone they will dribble out on a diagonal line to a cone to the left or righton the center cone. Once they have dribbled out they will then dribble backwards back to the center cone and back out the other way.
-Players must keep the ball close to keep it under control. -The ball must always be bouncing when the player has it in their possesion. -Can the players use their finger tips to bounce the ball? -When bouncing the ball must be waist height. -Can the player change hands to get used to controlling and bouncing the ball with their weak hand.

Four players standing still make every ball handler's job harder. Teach V-cuts, L-cuts and back cuts so your team gets open and punishes defenders who overplay.
Good team defence is five players guarding the ball, not five separate one-on-ones. The shell drill is where that starts, so here is how to teach help-side positioning and rotations from the first week of the season.
Rebounding is the least glamorous thing in basketball and one of the most decisive. It is also almost entirely a habit, which means it is entirely coachable.
