Two forwards in the wide channel are working towards the goal. A1 is passed a pass by a feeder from the middle of the pitch. Once received, A1 and A2 are in a live 2v1 against D1 in the zone. If attackers get the ball past the line, they have an unopposed shot on goal. If D1 wins the ball, they must dribble the ball over the line.
Body Positioning. The ball carrier must receive the ball with their feet facing towards the goal and their first touch taking them into the space they want to play in. Engage the defender. Force the defender to commit. This can be done by making them mark the support player or by stopping the ball carrier from running through. Hold the run: The support player must be square to the ball carrier.
