Needed? 2 different color cones, balls, goal, 10+ players How? Make two teams of minimum 5 players; one team lines up on the blue cones the other on the red. There are 6 parts to the drill. Blue player takes a shootout against the goalie, when done player stays in. When Coach blows whistle, 2 Red players will take the Blue player in a 2v1, when done all stay in. When whistle blows, 2 Blue players go with the other Blue player already in to take the 2 Red players in a 3v2. When done ALL stay in. When whistle blows, 2 Red players go with the other two Red players already in to take on the 3 Blue players in a 4v3. When done ALL stay in. When whistle blows, 2 Blue players start a ball, and go with 3 other Blue players in a 5v4. When done all stay in. Lastly, 1 Red player starts a ball just past the 25yd line for a 5v5. Play this scenario out for about 1-2 minutes. When done everybody leaves playing area. Why? Overload situations and switching mindset from offense to defense.
