Separate players into three teams of 3-5. Each team has a ball. Play for 3x3 minutes. Progression below - adapt challenge to needs of players. In the first session the objective is to pass within the team as many times as possible (non-directionally). Count number of successfully completed passes. In the second session, the objective is to pass directionally, from one line to the other as many times as possible.Once a team hits a line turn and go the other way. Each team can decide which direction they attack. Each player must touch the ball for a rep to count. On the third session, the objective is to play directionally while touching all four lines. Each player must touch the ball for a rep to count. To add difficulty during any phase, limit the number of touches on the ball. Field Set Up 10 x 10 Box Timing: 3x3 Minutes with 1 minutes Rest Coaching Points: - promote discussion about drill within team during rest (What was there experience? What proved challenging? What made them successful) -Balls and Bodies on the move, feet facing the direction you want to go, hands extended away from body - First touch on the move into space -maintaining focus and spatial awareness in chaos
