Hannah Coach, England

DESCRIPTION

Getting the attack to see where the space is in front of them and make the right decision.

COACHING POINTS

1. Make a grid 20m x 20m with 4 different coloured channels. 2. Have two lines of players at the side in middle of the grid and scrum player set inbetween. 3. When coach calls 4 attackers run down and enter into the four channels. 3 defenders leave at the same time and enter into 3 channels. 4. When the first player from attack enters the blue channel and calls for the ball the scrum half passes. 5. There will be one channel with no one in which is where the attacking team needs to identify. 6. The defenders can pick any cahnnel and hold on the line calling "hold, hold, hit" and can start putting pressure on once ball has passed. Advancing drill. - Delay the defenders so the attackers cant see before they call for the ball. - Allow a change in the channels. Look Out For: - Attackers, that first person there has to enter the first channel. - Defenders - that first person there should be going in first channel.
