The defenders are represented in blue, and attackers in red.Give each defender a number, every number you shout has to push up in a straight line and defend as normal. Once you shout that is the key for the scrum half to pass the ball to the attackers, once this happens the attacking team must communicate and attack the space.E.g. if I call 1 and 3, defender 1 and 3 push up to defend, the attackers must identify the space- which is where defender 2 is and work to put the ball into that space. To progress the drill give the defenders 5 seconds before hand to decide who should push up and observe.
