Defenders must react and slide left or right. When the halfback picks up the ball is when its time to press and every pad is to be hit. It is the discretion on the halfback how quickly defence must react. The halfback must also be managed/watched by a defender (10 Channel) therefore must always be +1 defender to amount of pads.
