on the whistle a player goes up and hits pad then retreats into the loaded position for the next pad. this keeps once the player is done with the pads they retreat to the middle where he meets a player from the opposition. here on the whistle they have a foot race to the ball where the first player collects the ball and the second player tackles him, gets to his feet and tries to pinch it.
