SH passes the ball to FR. FR runs forward and angle drawing their opposing defender across the field. The DS runner(Dummy switch) runs a switch line cutting back into the space from where the FR started where there may be a hole in the defence line if the defender hunted a tag on the FR. The player running the âPOPâ line runs a hard line just beside where the FR will finish up in front of the second defender in the line. The player running the âPocketâ line starts from behind the FR and makes an arcing run to the outside of the player running the POP line remaining and option throughout. The FR has many options. Give it on the switch line to DS runner, a short pass onto POP runner into a gap after attracting the defender, out the back to the pocket player if the POP line runner has pulled the defence in tighter or finally going themselves if the defence is in disarray.
