Players work in groups of Five against two defenders (holding tackle bags) The first attacker run with the ball into the shield and places the ball. The next two attackers attempt to clear the ruck and push back the two defenders stood over the ball. The next two attackers then come in and secure the ruck so the scrumhalf can fetch the ball and pass it to the next attacker who will start the whole drill again.
Clear out players should adopt a low body angle on approach and drive the defender up and away keep knees bent, eyes on target and head up
