DRILL TYPE: Reaction Skills FOCUS: Work on reacting and listen skills EQUIPMENT: Half Cones (4) Big Cones SETUP: Place the four big cones on the 4 corners of the court. Inside of the court, spread out the half cones. MISSION: The players move around the outside of the court (the coach can call out different movement patterns ( run, skip, side shuffle). When the coach calls â PARTNER â players enter the center of the court and find a cone and partner ( they are not to touch the cone). The partners face each other with the cone in the middle of them on the ground. The coach then calls a list of commands for example (HEAD, KNEES, SHOULDER ) the players perform these movements. When the coach calls cone its is the first player in the pair to to grab the cone off the ground scores a point. Players place the cone back on the ground and exit the center of the court and repeat moving around the outside of the court. Each time they must enter the center of the court and find a different partner.
